This unique log building is the perfect setting
for the famous Robertson bird collection, local animals & birds, insects & butterflies.

There are lions, a tiger, alligator, deer & a
variety of other animals & birds.

All mounted by John McCosh, one of New Zealand's leading taxidermists who is also
known as 'Tararua Ted', Wairarapa's answer
to Crocodile Dundee.

Also on display is R Gray's New Zealand
rock collection.

Wander around the gardens and feed the
live deer. Relax at our own picnic tables
in peaceful surroundings.

We specialise in bus tours and 'Tuatara Ted'
is more than happy to entertain you with a
talk about taxidermy and log building.
